3rd-8th Grade Math Tutor - We're currently searching for a skilled and experienced math tutor to join our team. This is a contractor position that allows you to set your own schedule and teach in the way that you feel will best benefit your students. Connect with students to help them become confident and competent math learners without the hassle of marketing yourself and billing customers. A background in teaching elementary or middle school math (in the classroom or individually) is required along with an applicable undergraduate degree. Job responsibilities:

  • Plan effective and personalized math lessons for your students

  • Meet with students online (via Zoom) weekly to help them meet their goals

  • Ensure the proper recording of your own tutoring hours 

  • Communicate with parents about student progress when needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in education or a related field 

  • Two or more years’ experience working with elementary/middle school-aged children

  • Comfortable using a computer and online screen-sharing programs such as Zoom (or willing to learn)

  • Tutoring experience preferred, but not required

  • Passionate about education, children, and keeping up with research-based best practices

  • Comfortable giving and receiving feedback

  • Able to analyze student needs and create individualized lesson plans
