Multiplication Madness Whorkshop
Does your child struggle to remember their multiplication facts? Are they slow to multiply and divide? Are they becoming self-conscious about the speed at which they can do their math work?
Multiplication is a huge sticking point for many students. If not fixed, difficulties with multiplication can lead to slipping grades and a huge increase in time spent on math assignments as concepts advance each year.
If multiplication is becoming stressful for your child, this workshop will help them not only remember more multiplication facts and concepts but also become more confident as a math learner.

Students entering 4th - 6th grade

THE METHODS WE WILL USE:
We will use multi-sensory methods for helping students understand multiplication concepts and remember their multiplication facts. Students will be given the opportunity to explore different methods and choose those that work for their learning style.
THE CONCEPTS WE WILL COVER:

Understanding the concept of multiplication through grouping and area models

Remembering multiplication facts 1-12 using personalized strategies

Understanding multi-digit multiplication using multiple models

Mental math for multi-digit multiplication

Problem-solving with multiplication and multiplicative relationships
