Amy

Amy is a passionate educator with over 9 years of experience as a classroom teacher. She has been recognized continually for her outstanding performance as an educator, and now facilitates the K-2 language arts and social studies instruction for Lewisville, ISD in Texas. Amy brings her own experience as a mom of two into her philosophy as a tutor. She knows firsthand the power of designing instruction for each child and their specific needs. 

Amy's qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in education

  • Master's Degree in educational administration

  • 9+ years in the classroom

  • Teaching certificates in EC-8th grade, special education, and ESL

  • Passed a child protection background check

Zoie

Zoie is an enthusiastic and experienced tutor. She began tutoring in 2015 and has been providing personalized one-on-one instruction ever since. Zoie is passionate about education and strives to learn new teaching methods and techniques daily. When tutoring, she focuses on growth mindset and goal setting along with academic content. Zoie was a struggling student in K-6th grade, and she brings that experience into her tutoring sessions and relationships with her students. 

Zoie's qualifications:

  • 3 + years tutoring 

  • Currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Math Instruction

  • Teaching certificates in EC-6th grade, and ESL
