Along with teaching academic skills, I also coach my students on how to adopt a "can do" self motivated attitude when it comes to their education. At times it can be difficult for a child who has experienced struggle in the classroom to keep a positive attitude, but with encouragement and direct modeling from the adults -attitude can change everything.
